Drains and Rubber

Usually Daddy days are busy afternoons, but today the morning was the hectic time.

Our next doors drain / our wet cellar issue was looked at by two lots of contracters today, one from an insurance company and one from the waterboard. Both refused to do the work which was annoying.

We also had to get a new tyre for the car before setting off on a trip in the next few days. I paid for the work earlier with the buggy and the kids and then popped back to get the car with Toddler a bit later. We decided to take a shot to say goodbye to our old tyre thinking the garage was deserted.

After getting the car we saw the mechanic leave the garage. He must have seen us and must think we are nuttier that he first thought.
The rest of Daddy day went nice and easily. Both little ones even fell asleep at the same time giving me a whole two minutes to enjoy a cup of tea and the paper on the common.

They were the most blissful, peaceful two minutes I have had for probably thirteen months.
