*jingle jingle*

This is my buddy, gifted to me by the illustrious Parker. He accompanies me to work everyday, clutching a briefcase of his own, and his asymmetrically bulging eyes and jagged wire smile hold a touch of insanity--but in a dysfunctionally cute, totally normal kind of way.

His name is Deuteronomy, based on the fifth book of the Old Testament (think Moses leading the Israelites to wander for 40 years in the desert in search of the Promised Land), which to me speaks of the importance of faith and overcoming hardships by having a focus to one's life. And the fact that sometimes in order to accomplish something big, you have to do something crazy.

Also there's a bell attached to the keychain, partially hidden behind his head in the picture, that makes a jingling noise that is both obnoxious and pleasant at the same time. Just in case I ever forget he's there.
