i can't see why you'd want to live here

montreal is nice and all, but i can't help but feel everywhere we went there was just an air of pretentiousness, like they're doing it just to spite me.

don't get me wrong, i enjoyed my time in the city (even with the artic temperatures), i just feel like at a point, you have to say "alright, we will completely speak english or we will completely speak french". my several semesters of french in college did help me out a little.

it probably didn't help that i'd just come from my favorite city in the world.
