Rocket!!
Look what mummy made yesterday! Ben could hardly wait to play with it today. This is before breakfast. (Ok, so he'd already eaten half a bowl of dry cereal before coming downstairs... But it was before my breakfast, anyway!)
Lovely sunshine today. Ben played while I had a bath, I turned my phone to "flight" mode so he couldn't make and calls or texts by accident (or by design) and let him play on his games. After lunch Ede came to play! Ben was SO excited! They spent the whole afternoon (bar about 15 minutes drumming) outdoors. I took a little table and a couple of chairs out for them, various ride-on toys and big outdoor toys were available to choose from, and they spent a good couple of hours happily playing together, copying each other, running and screaming, riding, climbing, jumping, drinking, sitting... Delightful!
Ede went home about 4.30pm and we set about making Ben some tea. He was getting tired too. A quick supper for Ben of pasta and cheap pasta sauce made more interesting with corned beef and grated cheese. Ben ate quite a lot and I ate the rest! And he was practically begging for his pyjamas after that. By 6.15 he was in bed fast asleep. Nothing short of miraculous.
For the first time in so long my memory can't actually remember the last time (not that that's saying very much to be fair) (but you get the idea) I have a fully free evening!
Steve is out, Ben is asleep in bed, I don't have to suffer a bath, the toys are in, the washing is done.
My blip is almost done, not that that's a chore.
I am going to bake!
My hostas, my brand new hostas that I planted out last week, are being eaten already. I am loath to put down little blue pellets as I suspect a couple of small children I know might be quite interested in them; so it's off to the baking cupboard to acquire some more empty eggshells. Such a sufferance to simply have to bake, for the sake of my lovely hostas.
Hehe.
See you later :)
