The shock of the new

Gorgeous weather today so I had a sunny lunchtime stroll down to the Mersey. En route I had a chance to see how some of the plethora of new waterfront buildings are coming along.

Here's an almost completed apartment block reflecting one of The Pier Head's so-called Three Graces, the Port of Liverpool Building, which was built between 1904 and 1907 to house the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board.

As an added 'bonus' (!) you can also see my reflection as I struggle to poke my camera through the security fence!
