The church at Stourton village, Wiltshire

There is very little remaining of Stourton which was a village but is now entirely within the Stourhead Estate. The estate is owned by The National Trust and is worth visiting. There is the Mansion which was originlly owned by the Hoare family of Bankers and the garden which has a large lake surrounded by many follies. Of the Stourton village there are just a handful of houses, a pub and the church still remaining.
