Wake

They do things differently here than they do back in the south land...
for one thing, here they have a wake for 7 hours two days in a row. In the south land, its more like a 3 hour wake.

At any rate, we missed the first day as we were driving to get here, but spent most of today at the wake. These days are long, and the people are tired, but I think taking time to be with others and just...be, is really important. Particularly where loss and grieving are involved. Telling stories, and remembering everything hilarious, stupid, or sweet...it is important.
