Broken
This is the bit of my tooth and its filling which got ripped out by the chewy centre of a merangue last night.
So I now have a dentists appointment midweek (it sin't giving me any pain ............yet)
Next broken thing was my glasses - bent and with a lens popped out when I picked up a certain young man (who has put on 2lbs, grown 2cm in length and 11/2 shoe sizes in 2 months).
What a nice lady at the opticians who was able to get the glasses back as good as new with no charge.
Bags (formally known as daughter) was informed today that the broken bits of her boiler are now obsolete and so the company providing her service cover were withdrawing their cover ....... and 'No' she was not getting back the 2 months cash she had paid them whilst waiting on them coming to check the boiler.
So she went to visit her cousin who works at a large plumbers supply company who had a couple of engineers call to give a 2nd opinion.
The opinion was - yes, there is a broken piece of insulation (not 3 as claimed) and that the boiler is perfectly safe to run without it.
We were also informed that is Bags (formally know as daughter) gets a new boiler (a smaller and cheaper one will more than suffice for the size of house) via her cousin (which will be cost price thanks to staff discount) then the engineer would put it in at a 'very reasonable price' and certainly cheaper than the usual suspects.
Visited our sick friend this afternoon.
The radio therapy and morphine are begining to kick in but her concentration is still shot to hell and she was really having problems when the 3 toddlers (2 grand children and the cygnet) were all there, even though they were all pretty quiet and it was mainly giggles and laughter.
It really is sad to see because she loves babies and young kids.
