House caller

Every once in a while there seems to be a new visitor to the garden. More usually it's round the back, but sometimes the tiny front garden holds a surprise. We have seen a couple of toads on the front doorstep, with no real idea of how they got there, and this evening, coming back from the supermarket, this tiny guy was on the front step. He/she hopped onto the path and I grabbed a quick snap, once more bemoaning the lack of a good macro lens! Think it's a grasshopper rather than a cricket (which have much longer antennae) or a groundhopper (whose body covers the wings) but after that I don't know. Still, always good to see something surprising like this.
