~Late Afternoon Ocotillo Bud Clusters~

~Fouquieria splendens~

Hard to believe, but after a little rain the Ocotillo
just plain explodes, with leaves and flowers.
Though this plant is still in the budding stage.
Just 2 weeks ago all the Ocotillo looked like this one.

Had a dust storm later today,
you can just see its beginnings
in the lower left of the photograph.
