Winter toes

Chipped nailpolish on feet emerging from hibernation
If I could take a picture of the smell tonight I would
Beautiful blooming flowers in the crisp spring air
Warm enough for tee shirts and bare feet
Ants roam aimlessly around my toes pressed against the cold cement
I love spring more than I can even describe
