Hay time harvesting

While driving through farm country lately, the fields are in motion with machinery and mankind, harvesting grains and grasses for winter. Although we are getting to the point that we are in need of rain, the bright blue skies and sunshine highlight the golden stands of grasses making them very photogenic!

This evening, as we were driving home from Canandaigua, Husband looped back on the road so I could take this photo of the setting sunlight playing on the haywagon filled with golden bales. The colors...the texture...perhaps just the psychological wholsomeness of the grasses...everything in this lively pallette of colors called to me....
