Meet the Neighbour

I was busy today adding more wire to the perimeter fence to make it Ollie proof when my neighbour walked by with her donkey. I knew she had a donkey, having seen the signs along the paths in Rangitane, but I had never been formally introduced to Anzac. Ollie was quite nervous and wouldn't go near him, although he has met plenty of horses before.
Helen is training Anzac on reins and walks behind, preparing for the day when he is strong enough to pull a small cart. When asked why a donkey she explained that her partner collects Rovers ( the car, not.....) and she had always wanted a donkey. However she addedthat he is actually and Australian Teamster, and a little larger than a true donkey.
