by the lake, again...
no matter what we plan for our weekend rides, we inadvertently get pulled towards the lake. the only thing that was different today was the direction of approach and exit. the lake is big, probably the biggest water body of the twin cities. so close and yet secluded away from the urban jungle. we sat for on the wet sand by the lake, listening to the tiny waves crashing against the shore. couple of weeks from now, that place will be dead under water. we need to find a bike trail circling around the entire lake - that would make a hell of a ride. the breakfast that followed the ride was sumptuous and heavy. riding after such a heavy breakfast was out of question so I dropped the bike at the store for service that was long overdue.
later in the evening, at the bike store, a brief meeting and some interestingly casual chat with an exceptional rider. a man with a mission - to cover all the states of India and then later go international - all on his modified Trek 4300 in a span of 5 years. already done 8000+ kms and still counting.
