Heavy Shower

The weather forecast for our area of Scotland today was for heavy showers. This HDR'd photo illustrates one of the heavy showers dumping a considerable amount of water on Perthshire today - unfortunately very little summer fun for many folks there from what I've seen on internet news.

The irony of the weather was that at Stirling at that time the sun was shining and when it did rain it was nowhere near as heavy as appears to have been the case further north. It looked a very intense cloudburst over Perthshire even from the distance of Stirling some 30 miles away. I just missed filming a bolt of lightning emerging from the dark cloud. I took the hint though and headed home before what was left of the rain eventually reached Stirling. The joys of a Scottish summer..............
