Taking the air
Today didnt start well. I felt very low as much of what had been planned depended on the weather which was far too windy for boating. Having made an alternative list we headed off to achieve various chores and found ourself buying a new printer rather than ink - how did that happen? A charming young saleswoman in comet could have sold anything and lured me in successfully...she was so delightful and polite she quite cheered me up even if I was £76 lighter. Hopefully the purchase will save expensive inks in future and offer us more desk space and hey it did include a spare set of cartridges and paper.
A trip to kwik fit with my work lease car again led to the statement that I had another couple of thousand on the tyres so they could not replace yet..they have been saying that for the last 6 thousand miles. I have done 47000 miles on the same tyres which seems unbelievable but I am assured I have enough tread for our trip to Ireland in a couple of weeks.
Cheered up with the sun now out and wind high we headed to the beach where the younger generation were being very energetic entertaining the tourists. We sat on the beach for nearly two hours taking the air while watching them do the same - I think thats the term - it is in snowboarding anyway!
