vada abditae

Hot sunny day in Oslo. Walked round the Slottsparken before breakfast to find a suitable route for C to run and met an Englishman walking his dog who lives here. Then to the Vigeland Sculpture Park for an explore and a picnic lunch. When we arrived it was mainly full of tourists coming by the coachload, but soon filled up with locals escaping their small city apartments for some fresh air and sunshine. Then late afternoon to the Akershus fort to look at the harbour.

The Norwegians seem to really like their sculptures - every corner of every public space seems to have one - and as a result, a very large proportion of my photos seem to have a sculpture in them. This chap is from the Vigeland park and I like the way he combines the threatening and the endearing (it is those crossed 'paws' like a puppy being cute).
