Bad skies

So far, so unlucky with the weather since we arrived in N Ireland on Thursday night for a long weekend.

After a rain-soaked trip to a fun farm near Antrim this morning, we took O to 'W5', an interactive science discovery centre, at Belfast's Odyssey complex. Impressed by the amount of activities - definitely a 'must-visit' for anyone travelling to Belfast with young kids - especially when it's pouring down outside.

The skyline viewed here is very different from when I left N Ireland 16 years ago. Most of the larger buildings, including the Odyssey itself, have all been built since.

The limits of smartphone cameras are obvious with low-light shots like this and noisy skies like this just prove that it's sensor size, not megapixels (in this case 8) that count for decent images. Will bring the DS1Mkii tomorrow when we go to County Fermanagh, Ulster's Lakeland region, to see O's Great Grandmother. Just hope we get the weather...
