Made by my Father
My dear Sister wrote about my father in her today's Blipfoto.
My father was very talented indeed.
I (as you can see here) smoke cigars and because of the dry air conditioning climate on board it is essential to keep them in a humidor. I asked my father to make two for me, one for on board and one for at home. It took him about two months to make this beautiful humidor. The cigars are kept in a humidity of 65-70% and I can keep them years and years without drying out. The quality of the cigars are even getting better because of the marriage between the aroma of the cigars and the cedar wood of the humidor.
Every month or so I open him and put him outside for about half an hour where the humidity is much higher as you can see. It is the same as with dogs; you have to let them out every now and then.
I had a small silver plate made by the jeweller and ingraved: Made by my father, March 2001.
