A candlelit message.

Today continued our mammoth relay.(I back blipped the start yesterday.)
We were all given special bags which we decorated with photographs or tributes to the people we had lost to cancer. Just after midnight they were filled with sand and a T-light and we placed them all around the track. These words were also picked out in lights. It was very moving.
The rain was so heavy, however, that they were not alight for long.
Then started the long haul of two people being on the track all through the night, in torrential rain.
As we left this morning we all agreed that it had been worth while, but never was a hot bath and clean dry clothes more welcome when we arrived home, and can you believe it, the rain has stopped.
