The 'Pock Beck Monster'

While I was all but house bound with my trampled toes, people kept asking " have you seen the 'Black Swan' on the lake/beck/canal?" Of course I had not, so the moment I could get about I started to look for it, only to be told "Oh it was seen flying off from the canal end of the beck westward". Last night on the way back from the yard we called in to check on Fizzy, who's owner was away overnight and who's home overlooks the farm pond, and what was stareing at the car but the black swan. So this morning off to check Fizzy again armed with monopod and big lense, yes it was still there! Thanks for the kind comments re yesterdays update on Friday, must keep looking forwards. :-(
