Moments of truth

Enjoy an early morning walk by the river with Andy, where - bizarrely - we spot a beaver on a little island.

We'd intended to see the giant statues at the Capitoline museum, only to discover it's closed on Mondays - so instead go to see the church with the Bocca della Verità.

A good (but surprisingly expensive!) lunch in a very ordinary-looking place, then on to the Forum. The kids are loopy from ice cream, and I can't help wondering what they'll remember of their running battles among the antiquities!
