Bald Eagle having a bath

We all slept well and woke up dry, which is always a bonus. Despite the pouring rain this morning we doned waterproofs and set out for Warwick Castle. It rained all morning (and I have the photos to prove it) but the sun came out in the afternoon.

It was a really good day, value for money too as we had a 2-4-1 voucher. What made Carys' day was the flying exhibition, no surprise there. But both of us learnt that birds of prey like to have a deep bath after they have flown. I had many shots to choose from today but this one won as I have never seen a land bird this big enjoying a bath the way this one was.
