Evert Thielen

Today I visited a picture show at Zwolle where not only the wonderful paintings are at exhibition, but today the painter was there present himself in order to highlight some of his works and the research he does before a stroke of paint is put on canvas. All a new phenomena for me and a big surprise to come across this treat. The painter is Evert Thielen blipped here (dutch born but living in Belgium now) and he looks so much like a countryman..... I can hardly imagine him in a stained overall at work behind a big canvas. Yet he's a very creative artist ........ this part of his painting Bellenhof shows he can handle the brushes very creatively!
