Lake Windemere

So - today is the day!!
BJORK!

We couldn't take photos inside the venue - the one time you REALLY want to as well- so here is Lake Windemere - we went in past on the way down to Manchester.

Sadly, while it's beauty is hard to underestimate, I fear that it may have gone down the same slippery slope as Aviemore. Both outstanding in their scenery, but the commercialism that permeates the place is quite off-putting. I cropped it out of this photo - but there was a rather large, offensive "CASINO" sign next t the jetty. Not so idyllic.


However, the ice cream, overtly tame swans and company made all the difference.
