Grey and empty

Popped into Clacton Shopping Village this morning. As you can see it was grey, cold, windy, starting to rain and almost empty. Admittedly it was only just as the shops were opening, and the absence of other shoppers did make it so much easier to get around fast.

I've been saying in various places for the last few days that this pattern of weather is set to last until at least 8th August and today I note that the newspapers have also picked up on this.

Some of us are off to Birmingham this afternoon for Philip's graduation ceremony tomorrow, so if you could keep the A14 and M42 clear for us, that would be nice:)
