Taking the leap!

A strange day weatherwise......started off just overcast and cloudy, but warm.......i spent the morning working - and took the afternoon off to myself! In retrospect i should have done it the other way around, cos by the time i ventured out with a few hours to myself, it was raining...and it rained a lot of the time i was gone! But i still enjoyed exploring some new side roads outside of Baddeck! went for a soggy walk thro some long grass to get to the edge of the water.....lovely to find a few families of Canada Geese heading out into the water! Then back to Baddeck, by this time it had stopped raining, and i managed to have a good walk down by the harbour.....found this gang of kids jumping off the warf.....they were a bit uncertain as to my intentions as i started taking shots....one kid yelled...'are you from the newspaper...' and when i replied that i wasn't he seemed to be relieved! i wonder why he was worried eh!!! anyhow, they obliged with their antics for quite awhile...and it always helps when you can show them the images on the screen right there and then!

We have 2 new wwoofers here, Pier-David and Maud, they are from Quebec City...they seem like lovely young folks....and now it's just that funny settling in period for me.....i know that within a few days i'll be used to finding them in the kitchen in the morning, they will get used to my lack of conversation at such a time.....and we'll all have a great time!
