Holy Trinity
Fairly standard Tuesday - didn't get a photo until near the end again, but here it is. This one was on my way from small group dinner to a friend's birthday drinks. This used to be an Anglican church, then it was sold to the Greek Orthodox people and now they put it to good use. It's a pretty speccy building, especially at night, and it's great to see it being loved and used by its new congregation.
Drinks were at a pub tucked away in a corner of Salamanca (the wharf sort of area), apparently it was where Mures (a local fish restaurant) first opened, then it was Indian (or something) and now a pub. There was great opportunity to people watch, we were sharing the space with a singles event. Pretty fascinating to watch everyone revolving around the room, chatting up and shrugging off, number swapping, occasionally boring each other to bits. I'll readily admit I chose vantage points where I could watch without looking like I was staring. The trick was not to catch anyone's eyes, or else you'd risk having a beardieweirdie heading your direction and would have to immerse yourself quickly in conversation, preferably in a male-dominated group. Didn't stop me observing though. Yes, I am that person who just sits in the corner and watches people. No, I'm not weird (well, that's one of my lesser eccentricities), I just find human interaction quite enthralling.
