The simple life

In some of our remote barrios, water still does not flow out of the tap but pumped manually from a water well. Bahay kubo's or grass houses are lit by just one light bulb and food is cooked over wood-fired stoves. The living is simple but they are still happy.

Here Lolo (grandad) chops the day's wood while Lola (grandmum) keeps him company.
