A young male, hunting for voles in the field opposite L & J's house. It only arrived in the gloaming, so unable to get a good shot (there are a couple more here). Nice to see them back, as the local pair that previously held the territory were bullied out of it by the local rooks.

We dragged our hangovers back to L and J's house, ending the day with a delicious barbecue cooked by young Matt and watching the news of the latest News International resignations with a certain schadenfreude. Our friends live quite close to the Chipping Norton set, but somehow don't get invited to their parties ;)
