30 minutes downhill is a pleasant walk home from work, especially since the weather tends to perk up at the end of the day. But the trudge uphill on the morning takes rather longer and rather more effort. So I have been investigating the city bikes.
Turns out - as with so many things Scandinavian - to be an incredibly sensible system. The bikes are funded by advertising, on the bikes themselves and on the stands. Users just pay 90 NOK a year. That is just over £10 and given the price of everything else here, so cheap there is no reason for anyone not to have a card. Better work out how to order one now.
