Visited Scotlands Secret Bunker today.

It's like a James Bond baddie base, but it's actually a nuclear war bunker for heads of states to hide in and try to keep the country running, while everyone outside of the bunker is melting!

Glad it never got used, though it was actively maintained till 1992. Under the almost normal looking fife house is 3 levels of reinforced concrete command center with chunky metal blast proof doors.

Fascinating and spooky, and a reality not so long ago.
