Today has been awesome!

One of our students played in 4 sporting codes for the South Island against the North Island today. Tiff represented us in Futsall, Basketball, Netball and Volleyball. And Rimu represented us in Volleyball. Our girls, coached by our ex-teacher/friend Marcus, won the volleyball competition against the North Island team!! Today they are my heroes - Tiff, Rimu and Marcus we're so proud of you all.

At the tournament closing ceremony this afternoon the Northland team performed a somewhat impromptu haka. It was one of those goosebump moments, especially when the Central North Island team stood and returned it.

These kids, from small area schools thoughout New Zealand, really do us adults proud. The tournament has been wonderful and I really hope I have a privilege of attending again next year (when it is hosted in Dunedin).
