Bob is visiting

Hero was born in Derbyshire in England. His great-grandfather was my beautiful old boy Robbie. Robbie died when Hero was 5 weeks old and I got Hero because I wanted to keep Robbie's lines with me.

Hero's breeder Bob is visiting from England these days. He is staying with my friends Ingelise and Erik and I went there to say hallo to him on my way home from work. He is here with another friend Marion, who is also a Border Collie breeder.

It was the first time Bob saw Hero (since he was an 8 weeks old pup) and luckily he seemed pleased with how he has developed.

We had a cup of coffee and chatted for a while, before Ingelise and I took the dogs for a good run.

Todays blip is (from left): Ingelise and Erik's two girls Amy and Ruby (Ruby is from Bob's breeding too and a granddaughter to Robbie), Hero, Beat, Whisper, Biscuit and my mum's girl Bridie.

I do realize that it looks impressive with so many dogs sitting, but the only dogs in this picture that does not compete on top level in some dog sport is my mum's old Bridie, who is 13 years old and do not really want to run very much and Hero, who is 1 year old and not old enough to have reached advanced level yet, but is training with the goal of hopefully getting there some day.
A sit-stay should be quite simple for them and it was not!!!! 20 secs after this photo was taken, they were running like mad dogs all over the place!!!! So much for Champion titles!!!!
(There are 3 x Obedience Champion, 3 x Canine Freestyle Champion and 1 x Heelwork To Music Champion in this picture - Hmpf! Naughty Champions!)
