Before the bureaucrats took over

This was the hub of Dumbarton town council. Now there are 4 times as many people in a concrete block in another part of town.
I believe the demise of local councils has led to the devastation of small towns shopping centres.
Everyone who was on the local council had the love of their town as their only incentive to serve the community not like the career politicians of today.
