Riots hold up traffic

Anti Government riots brought Mzuzu to a standstill today. The government got an injunction against planned marches and arrests of marchers sparked bloody riots with a reported 8 dead.
The Irish Embassy advised staying indoors and that's what we did. Fortunately it was confined to the city centre, so I got a chance to visit the farm in the evening and sneak this picture.
It shows some of the many lorries, bused and cars held up on the outskirts of Mzuzu, awaiting the removal of small barricades and obstacles on the roads.
