Saz siesta

This is one of my favourite events at the Voix de la Méditerranée festival - the siesta musicale . The audience sits on deckchairs (and this year hammocks too) in the shade of bay trees listening to music or poetry. This afternoon Mahmut Demir played the saz and the kabak - two Turkish/Kurdish stringed instruments - and sang beautifully.

We had another wonderful day at the festival with E, who luckily loves going to this festival as much as I do, followed by supper in the garden when we got home. I don't have much time for commenting for these few days that she's here, but I'll catch up with you all soon.
