Hypericum
This may be Androsaemum (Tutson). It was self-sown possibly by a bird depositing the seed. It has been growing in my garden for about four years. Until now I never wondered what variety it is. If you think you know I will be very grateful to hear. The leaves are quite large, maybe three centimetres long by about one and a half wide.
From the page I looked it up it appears to have the common name of 'Tutson'. I am not very good with common names having been taught Botanic names only. For those that are interested I have formal training in Horticulture having served an apprenticeship at Hampton Court Palace with the Department of the Enviroment. Back then we knew it as the Ministry of Public Blunders and Wonders. (The Ministry of Public Buildings and Works)
Funny really, all that training and here I am, a restauranteur on the Isle of Skye.
