Another Visitor-Wood Nymph (Cercyonis pegala)

Today as I immersed myself in weeding, inspecting and talking to my flowers, this fellow came for a visit! He flew to the scabiosa (pincushion flower) and proceeded to visit long enough that I could go inside, get my camera, and take several shots of him before he bounced off.

What an excellent way to keep perspective--dig in the dirt!
