Taking orders.......

I've always enjoyed baking since I was a child and used to subject Nana and Aunt Lizzie to a baking morning when they came through for their holiday each summer!

Although I have continued to bake throughout the years, I never learned to decorate cakes properly. But after today, that has all changed!

As a holiday treat to myself (apart from the new piano!), I booked myself on a cupcake decorating class. It turned out that I was the only person who had registered for today's class so I had a 1-1 with the wonderful Mrs Jones! I learned lots of trade secrets, practised techniques and bought a few gadgets - couldn't resist!

Here are the cakes which I iced and decorated with my own hand-made flowers. I've always wanted to do that really swirly icing .... now I know how, and have the right tools to do it :)
