That's a poop box. Yes, a poop box. I kid you not.

When I moved here, I realized that there wasn't any room for the cats' litter box, and there was no way in hell I'd leave it out in the open. So I went on Craigslist and bought an old wooden trunk for $20 from a lady who was fixing to move to Florida. It was coated in light green paint that was so chipped and faded that it looked like it was touched up no earlier than 50 years ago.

A few months ago, Jeff was nice enough to bring his band saw to cut a hole on the side of the trunk. I painted the trim black, and glued some flimsy $1 Target wrapping paper on all four sides and the top (streaks of black paint can be seen on it, due to me still having wet paint on my hands). I then cut a square foot of a $2 Ikea curtain and attached it to the inside of the trunk to create a flap. Finally, I added a small piece of carpet, which I found in my dad's basement, to the bottom of the trunk.

And... viola! A pretty poop box for the kitties!
