Flea the Bilboo

another day of de-cluttering, this time in the room that got used as a transitory dumping place when we were rebuilding in the attic and in the living room (at the same time) - in fact, it WAS our living room for a while. Then I decided to use it for dealing with the tonnes of laundry that I seem to have to face every week. Needless to say, after a while it just turned into a complete and utter dump, with a bit of dust and fluffy bits mixed in. Right now it's a nice clean laundry room with a pile of crap thrown just outside the door....that's phase2 which should start a few minutes after my coffee cup is emptied *takes very long time to finish coffee*

These drawers are no longer filled with....bits and pieces (aka rubbish) and, thanks to Flea, they are also no longer broken. What used to be her frustrating perfectionism and slowness (frustrating for herself and anyone who could hear the tantrum) has now become a wonderful patience and accuracy, especially when working with her hands. These drawers have been mended by my patented method (kick, swear) a few times but now they have new screws and everything!!!

"Bilboo" comes from "Bollabilboo" which was what Flea used to call Bob the Builder back in the day when she couldn't hear consonants very well. These days she still gets some muddled up but seems to be able to hear and pronounce them well enough.

Time moves on, the world turns a few more times and that which kept me awake at night turns into something so valuable I can't manage without it. My dear Flea, you are never allowed to leave home, we are too crap to manage without you xxxx
