Trollstigen

We got off the boat in Ålesund and headed through some amazing country for Trollstigen, or the Troll's Ladder, a mountain road near Åndalsnes that descends more than 300 metres at an incline of 9% with 11 hairpin bends (if you large it you'll see cars and bueses down below). Breathtaking scenery and it was a hell of a ride down. I'm not sure if it was more impressive from the bottom or the top but I thought this photo came closest to capturing the scale of it - and even then not very well. My parents thought this was the highlight of the trip.
