Didn't we have a lovely day the day we went to ...

After a lovely time in Robin Hoods Bay we drove along the coast and stopped off at Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes & finally Saltburn. This is the oldest surviving pier in the North East. It was opened in 1869! We were ready for a cuppa by the time we got to Staithes but it was a little run down & very little there, its such a pity because its so pretty. So we waited until we got to Saltburn, cheese & onion toastie & St Clements Cake!
By the way, the waddling man in red is my hubby who has just been told he needs two hip replacements, the perils of a lifetime of sport, only managed half way & back!
