The origin of my love...
I've been fascinated with photography since I was a small child, and today I was reunited with one of the reasons why.
On 14th August 1987, people all over Britain were invited to take a photo and submit it to be put into a book that would be published in aid of a cancer charity. My mum was given the book as a gift when it came out, and I used to spend hours sitting and looking through the book.
I've wanted my own copy of the book since I left home seven years ago, and today, as I popped into my local charity shop to hunt for books to take on holiday, I saw this sitting on the bottom shelf. For just £1, I brought it home and have spent a large chunk of this evening looking at the photos. Many of them I have seen so many times that they seem like old friends.
My blip features my favourite photo (the one on the right). The photographers (like me) are all amateurs, but are happy to just catch a moment and share it with the world, like I now (try to) do each day.
If you get the chance, I recommend begging, borrowing or buying a copy of One Day for Life. :)
