Sunbeams

Nearer to Heaven

On my way back from collecting the papers this morning I noticed the sheep were back in the churchyard enjoying the grass in amongst the gravestones. Country churchyards around here often use sheep to control their greenery problems in the summer months. It benefits the farmer and the church since it is free on both accounts.

T's mate who had been staying the night left for London this morning on his way back to Germany where he is working for a tractor company. He's just spent two months with them in Lisbon so life can't be bad! T and K then went off to an early wedding in Dorset, the groom lives in the village here.

I mowed the lawn and cut off the dead Valerian which is seeding everywhere now. N went into town to buy some wine.

Can't stop thinking about the devastation in Norway.
