Lonely banksias!!

These banskias were shining out on a lone banksia tree in an area where there was a lot of concrete and a little grass.

Someone had cut the tree back very badly but these little banksia flowers were determined that nothing would stop their bloom - not even the wet winter weather or their hacked tree.

They were beautiful ... I would loved to have picked them ... but no, that would have been naughty!!!
