It's a tough job but someone's got to do it!
After a good night's sleep, we started our holiday proper on Tuesday with a Rob-guided walking tour. We began at the Cathedral and walked some old streets before crossing the Rhine on the Hohenzollernbrucke. This bridge is covered in "love padlocks" - lovers write their names, or have them engraved, onto a padlock and then throw the key into the river below.
We ended up visiting Cologne's Schololadenmuseum (Museum of Chocolate), which was well worth a visit. This lady was in charge of the chocolate fountain. You might fancy a drool in large. We visited the shop (sponsored by Lindt!) and also the cafe that served a variety of chocolate-based snacks and drinks - their chocolate cake was out of this world!
We also rode on the trams. We finished the day with a meal in a little Brauhaus that served typical Cologne dishes.
