Eddie?

Saturday saw Phineas and I travel to Newcastle for his first gig - Iron Maiden at the Metro Arena.

We arrived mid afternoon and took in one of the best tribute bands going, Maiden Scotland. Before we entered the bar, the gig organisers put this Eddie mask on him. Phineas put his ear plugs in and we took ourselves to the upstairs balcony to get a good view. He absolutely loved it and it set the tone for the rest of the day. Airbourne were supporting Maiden and they were great fun - straight down the middle, feelgood rock with more than a passing nod to ACDC.

Iron Maiden were their usual self: professional, tight as a drum and very entertaining. He is totally hooked and is now asking which band he'll see next. Not bad for an 8 year old!
