Sunshine On A Sunday

Dawn texted me in work today to say the sunflower is opening! I knew what today's blip had to be!

Okay, so it's not fully open yet, but not far off. There is a second one about to open too.

What is it about a sunflower that makes you feel like a kid again. I remember growing them with my dad when I was little. It used to (and still does) amaze me that something so huge, grows from something so small!

Alas, I didn't plant these, an industrious Coal Tit did. The best thing is, I will let them go to seed, and the coal tits will come back and pick the seeds out for food this winter. Hopefully I will get good views of them from my bedroom window.
